The app says I can play New York Times crosswords but then will not let me download them.

This is by far the best puzzle app. I love the creativity in the crossword puzzles

For a puzzle person, this is great. The touch-write technology is perfect, especially when I use it on the phone. Lots of puzzles, crossword and more... Ive used this daily for many happy months. Thank-you. (Puzzles are brain-protein!)

Puzzazz is the most user friendly of the puzzle apps out there. They have puzzles by masters of the craft, including the New York Times. The UI is pleasant, in app purchases are reasonable.

This app allows special effects that are used in crossword puzzles like the Sunday NYT to be seen. Several noted crossword puzzle bloggers have mentioned this lack in the apps they use. Hopefully theyll find this one! Its great for many other types of word puzzles as well.

Started out to be awesome great puzzles, but tried to play second game and it will not let me. It keeps closing to the point of frustration!!!

Hands down the best crossword puzzle app in the App Store. Great variety of puzzles AND access to the New York Times xwords. Really great! Also... Some of the best customer service around!

I cant imagine doing puzzles with any other app anymore. The app is so versatile; you can solve lots of types of puzzles. I love the Year of Puzzles!

Just downloaded tonight, and I like it. HUGE improvement over old app I was using for NYT puzzles. A button for moving from one clue to the next (rather than tapping the clue itself) and a button for changing from across to down (and back) would earn it six stars, but Ill admit thats really picky. Very happy so far!

I love crosswords, and gave up on other apps because they are clunky. This one gets it right. Navigation is easy, you can enter letters by drawing them on the screen instead of a keyboard (although keyboard is available too), and its very smart about various ways to move from clue to clue. Theres also a nice assortment of crosswords and other puzzles available. I have been doing a lot of crosswords because of this app. It deserves to be a lot better-known than it is.

I have been waiting for an app like this. I love crossword puzzles and variety puzzles. Tons of puzzles are offered for a very reasonable price or one or two dollars. I would like more variety puzzles to be offered and the crossword puzzles from The New York Magazine.

Ive been using it for about three weeks and have no complaints. Great interface, great customer support. (Not Bangalore: the owner/developer answers the questions.) Its very easy to use; once logged in, it remembers me, and takes me automatically to my last puzzle. I dont know if it can connect to an external keyboard, but I dont care. Instead of a keyboard at all, I prefer to write in the letters and it does a very good job at recognizing my writing. It shows the puzzle just like the printed one, complete with notes that sometimes accompany the trick ones, and of course the title for Sunday NYT. The grid and clues are very easy to read. It has a good Rebus function that allows multiple letters and special characters. No drawing feature that would support a real Rebus (like drawing a picture of a person for the letters M*A*N), but putting in the letters works fine. Good support for cheats like revealing errors (by erasing incorrect letters) or revealing words or letters. When complete, it tells you if you solved correctly or not, and most fun, it connects the dots for puzzles where the completed grid forms some kind of picture. Excellent app.

This is the puzzle app I like best. I love the TouchWrite option--it is better than the keyboard. The team was very helpful to me when I had trouble with the app. They emailed with me until it was resolved. I use it for NYTime puzzles, and it works very well, GOOD PRODUCT!

Dreadful describes this app. Good luck getting the keyboard to even recognize you tapped a key, let alone the right one. And the Touchwrite is not any better. Who knew how many ways a lower case e could be interpreted! Sometimes it took me more than 10 tries to get the correct letter in there. This took all the joy out of doing crosswords. This is why they invented the Uninstall command.

I have a premium subscription to the NYTimes puzzle and have been struggling with the iPad interface...until I found this app. It is a beautiful thing! So easy to use and elegantly designed. I love the writing interface using a finger. Im so excited to have found it. Easily the best app on my iPad.

Best way to do NYT, especially since the Magmic app hasnt worked on my iPad for months! Best part is extra features for some of the gimmick puzzles.

TouchWrite is great. At the outset, I did have some problems getting Puzzazz itself to work, but the developers were very helpful (indeed, persistent!) in diagnosing and fixing things. Its perfect now!

Every puzzle I solve is incorrect according to this however I can find nothing wrong and when I ask to see the incorrect word all of a sudden Im correct I solved the puzzle.
